Understanding & Managing Anxiety in Children.

About the Series

Understanding and Managing Anxiety in Children is a 5-week small-group program for school-aged children, developed and facilitated by the team at Lyt Health Psychology, Adamstown.

Each session combines interactive activities, group discussion, and video-based learning to make skill-building engaging and practical.

Series one focuses on helping children:

Notice the Signs

Children learn to recognise how anxiety feels in their body and what those sensations mean.

Understand Worry

Children discover how thoughts and triggers can influence their feelings and behaviour.

Build Coping Skills

Children practise simple, practical strategies to manage worries in everyday life.

Group Dates and Details

Our Sparks workshops run in small, age-based groups to make learning engaging, supportive, and developmentally appropriate.
Group 1: Kinder – Year 2
Wednesdays at 4.30pm
Nov 12, 19, 26, Dec 3, Dec 10
Includes a 30-minute introductory parent consult before the first session and a follow-up debrief after the final week.
All materials and take-home resources are included to help children continue practising their new skills at home.
NDIS funding accepted (self-managed and plan-managed). Medicare rebates available for eligible clients — please speak with our reception team for details.
Group 2: Year 3 - Year 6
Thursdays at 4.30pm
